Our Vision & Mission
Our Vision
To become a leading Igbo cultural institution, with a focus on returning Igbo music to the arts and advancing the pan-African worldview.
Our Mission
Ichoku Academy, like Mbari, bụ ụnọ mmụta; a place of learning. Our mission is to preserve, teach, and advance the rich heritage of Igbo music and culture by nurturing talent, fostering creativity, and building a vibrant community of artists, scholars, and cultural ambassadors.
Through rigorous training, authentic practice, and innovative expression, we use music as a creative medium to educate and promote the Igbo language and culture.
Ichoku nọ n’ụnọ, ugbene ya a na-azụ n’afia. Just like the proverbial Ichoku, the parrot, we stay rooted in the Igbo cultural identity while our stories and rhythms are heard across the world.
