Welcome to Ichoku Academy (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By enrolling in our physical or online classes, booking rehearsals, attending recitals, or using our website, you (“Student,” “Parent/Guardian,” or “User”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
1. Scope of Services
Ichoku Academy provides music instruction in traditional Igbo folk songs and indigenous instruments, alongside contemporary music education, rehearsals, and performance recitals through physical and online platforms.
2. Enrollment, Fees & Payments

Registration: Enrollment is confirmed upon completion of registration and payment of applicable tuition or booking fees.

Payment Terms: Tuition and fee schedules are billed in advance according to the selected program (monthly, term-based, or per session).

Refund Policy: Tuition fees are non-refundable once a term or program session has commenced, except in extraordinary circumstances approved by academy administration.

Price Changes: We reserve the right to modify service pricing with reasonable advance notice to active students.
3. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Attendance

Student Absences: Notice of absence must be given at least 24 hours prior to a scheduled private or online lesson to qualify for a makeup session. Makeup lessons are subject to instructor availability.

Group Classes: Missed group sessions are non-refundable and cannot be individually rescheduled.

Academy Cancellations: If the Academy cancels a class due to instructor illness, weather, or emergencies, a makeup session or credit will be issued.
4. Code of Conduct & Studio Rules

Students and visitors are expected to maintain respect toward instructors, staff, fellow students, and academy property.

Instruments & Equipment: Students must handle academy instruments and rehearsal gear with care. Damaged property caused by negligence may incur repair or replacement fees.

Ichoku Academy reserves the right to terminate enrollment without refund for severe behavioral misconduct, safety violations, or non-payment.
5. Intellectual Property
All teaching materials, arrangements, curricula, audio/video resources, logos, and website content provided by Ichoku Academy remain the intellectual property of the Academy or its licensors. They are provided solely for personal, non-commercial educational use.
6. Media Rights & Privacy

Use of personal data, website cookies, and student media (photographs, audio, and video recordings from lessons or recitals) is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Media featuring minor students will only be used for promotional or public purposes with express parental/guardian consent via our Media Consent Form.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Nigerian law, Ichoku Academy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your participation in our programs or use of our website. Students and parents are responsible for personal belongings brought to physical premises.
8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be settled amicably through good-faith mediation before seeking legal redress in competent courts in Nigeria.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued enrollment or site use indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
