Medical student Oluoma Odimegwu launched a Sunday music program where children who once only knew Afrobeats now proudly perform Igbo folk songs and play traditional instruments like:
Oja
Udu
Ogene
Ekwe & Ngedelegwu
Today, they constitute a full children’s orchestra in Nnewi, keeping Igbo heritage alive. This orchestra, and other visionary projects of Oluoma have been documented by BBC Igbo.
